Tons of features and embroiders beautifully! It sews smooth as butter, has tons of stitches, and I really like the way it looks. Easy to use - I did not even have to open the manual. This terrific machine actually arrived in 2 days. I couldn't believe it was here so fast. I highly recommend these folks as THE place to buy your new machine. This is the first time i had purchased a Brother and boy am i glad i did, its the most used friendly mahine ive ever used everything is easy and the most important for me is i dont have to use scissors at all during machine embroidery, this machine has so many little thread cutters that trim thread ends to the correct length, meaning i can get on with stitching and totally let the machine do what it does best. review by Mrs Coats I really like the thread cassette for ease of threading and how the bobbin is threaded. The stitches are nice, even. The embroidery is very nice. It's quiet and so much lighter than my other machine. I made two roman shades and four panels of pinch pleated drapes and enjoyed sewing. review by Barbara A few months ago i purchased this machine and I absolutely love it. It is the most wonderful machine and does everything (except make my tea). It has one of the largest embroidery area of all the manufacturers and came with many embroidery designs pre-loaded including many Disney ones. As it is not a dedicated embroidery machine, so it can also be used for many other sewing tasks such as quilting etc. I think it has something like 900 inbuilt stitches and designs. I havn't even begun to explore all the possibilities of the machine. For transferring designs to the Innovis you can use the brother cards or a USB stick, which I normally use as it is simplest, or you can link direct to your PC with a USB cable. As for price the 4000D is the top of the range Innovis at around the 3,000pound mark but they do a couple of cheaper ones in the same range. Expensive yes but to my mind mine has been worth every penny I paid for it. review by Chris This is such a beautiful and competant machine...it does so much that whatever your imagination could create this machine could produce,,, compared to other brands,... this machine is like the automatic with all the bells and whistles and the other brands are mostly manuals for the masses GO enjoy the pleasures of this machine...
