Elna designed the 8600 to bring together all the best features in one sewing machine. You get the precision stitching Swiss designed Elna is known for, easy navigation and design layout on a full colour LCD touchscreen, and the built-in, two-step conversion from regular sewing mode to embroidery mode at the touch of a button, no hassle trying to attach a cumbersome embroidery unit. One minute it's a sewing and quilting machine, the next it's an embroidery machine.

No clumsy embroidery attachment, other brands of embroidery machines require separate embroidery attachments that can take up to a half dozen steps to attach. Not-so with the Elna 8600 Xplore... Just two steps take you from sewing to embroidery:
1) Touch the Embroidery Mode Key.
2) Attach the embroidery foot and your ready.

Thanks to Elna's telescopic carriage arm, not only is switching easier, the embroidery hoop moves with amazing accuracy. Complete projects in the order you want. Do an embroidery design in the middle of a quilting or home dec project, then go right back to sewing at the touch of a button.
