Excellent Love this machine and it does everything it says and more, I have never embroidered before and I'm amazed at how easy this machine has made it with excellent results. My overall rating is: out of 5. Excellent This machine was a present for my sister so she is writing the review as I would not know one end of a machine from the other!
This machine is excellent, I have not had much time to play but I think I have tried each and every feature out once that it has. The embroidery is exceptional although the built in library is a little small and hard to determine whether it is in cross stitch or satin stitch, quality of either is fab. No foot operation is immediately responsive and brilliant not a feature I have used before. The manual is a god send of a bible and covers every aspect you could possibly want it to. My only point of confusion has been as to the different bobbin cases and when to use them but I have been assured Gutermann thread will only need the standard bobbin case. All in all a fab machine and worth the departure from my 30 year old Bernina and quality of stitch is equal if not better than the Bernina. The huge plus point for me also is that although the machine is robust and stable it is considerably lighter than my Bernina was. (Posted December 30, 2011) -

My overall rating is: out of 5. Excellent I love the ease of threading. The many features of this machine are wonderful. Being able to create my own stitches with the My Custom Stitch feature as well as being able to combine the different classes of stitches to expand the stitch capabilities is a super plus while heirloom sewing and quilting.
The pattern stitches come out wonderful. You do need to read the manual and follow the instructions for perfect pattern sewing by using a stabilizer geared to the type of fabric being used. I have found most imperfections or problems encountered are due to user error or lack of reading the manual and following recommendations.
The embroidery is also wonderful. I advise any new person starting out embroidering to learn as much as possible before judging your machine. There is a lot involved in embroidering properly but once learned it is very addicting indeed. (Posted June 23, 2008) -
