With the drop-in bobbin, there's no separate bobbin case to misplace. Its see-through cover lets you see just how much thread is left on the bobbin.
You'll need to drop the feed dog when you want to sew on buttons or do free motion work, stippling or thread painting, for example. Just move the handy lever located on back of the free arm and you're ready to go.
The free arm makes it so easy to reach circular areas like trouser legs and shirt cuffs.
Centimetre and inch measurements on the needle plate and the base of the machines are handy tools for sewing accuracy.

Overall rating I bought a Elna 2800 Sewing Machine, online from Sewing Machine Sales on the 24-06-2011. it arrived on Sat 25-06-2011. I thought that considering the size of parcel it got to me in very quick time. (Parcel Force) I have given it a quick check it looks and feels in good order. just what I needed as a upgrade from the sewing machines. I now can get on and do some real sewing. (Posted on 7/21/11)
