Use Gathering/Shirring Tongue with Standard Presser Foot to gather/shirr and join two pieces of fabric simultaneously.

Set machine for 4-thread overedge seam.

Attach presser foot and set lever to B position.

Secure Accessory Holder Base to machine and attach Gathering/Shirring Tongue to base, positioning tongue under presser foot.

Set differential feed to 2.

Place fabric to be gathered under tongue, right side up. Place flat fabric on top of tongue and under foot, right side down.

Sew first stitches by hand, using handwheel. Hold top fabric in right hand and bottom fabric in left hand while sewing. Make sure both fabrics touch guide on tongue during sewing.
