Use Piping and Welting Accessory with Piping and Welting Foot E to bind and guide piping and gimp between fabric layers.

Set machine for 5-thread safety stitch wide or two-thread chainstitch.

Attach Accessory Holder Assembly to machine. Attach Piping and Welting Accessory to assembly.

Insert cord in hole of Piping and Welting Accessory. Cut strip of bias fabric 1 3/8 inch wide. Cut one end at 45 degree angle and insert into guide surrounding cord.

Place bias fabric and cord under presser foot. Lower needles into bias fabric on right side of cord and lower presser foot. Cord should be positioned in foot groove and to left of needles.

Place one fabric piece right side up under bias strip and a second fabric piece right side down on top of bias strip.

Sew, checking that cord, bias and fabrics are guided correctly.
