Use Tape Binder 40mm with Standard Presser Foot and Accessory Holder to bind fabric edges with 40mm tape.
Set machine for 2-thread chainstitch.
Attach presser foot and set lever to A position.
Attach Accessory Holder Base to machine. Attach bias binder to base.
Cut strip of bias tape 40mm wide. Cut one end at 45 degree angle and insert into bias binder. Check that fabric is inserted correctly with right side of fabric to right.
Position bias tape under presser foot and lower needle into bias tape. 2mm (1/8 inch) should be left of needle. Reposition bias binder attachment if needed.
Insert fabric to be bound into slot between folded bias tape and lower presser foot.
Sew first stitches by hand, using handwheel. Check that fabric and bias tape feed correctly during sewing.
