Now Playing: Rolled Hem Foot
Select straight stitch, engage foot and IDT (if available on machine). If needed, press beginning of hem to 2, 3 or 4mm wide, depending on size of foot. Place flat in groove under foot and sew a few stitches. Lower needle into fabric to hold in place. Then raise presser foot and pull cut edge of fabric into scroll of hemmer. Lower foot and continue sewing while holding cut edge up in front of foot.
Do not allow fabric to run under right half of presser foot.
Suggestions: Hem crisp fabrics with straight stitch. Hem soft fabrics with zigzag that just encases the mm size of hem. (Sharply curved areas are not suitable for this type hemmer.)
Stitch: Straight or zigzag
Stitch Length: 2.5
Tension: 3 - 5
