This video shows the Elna Digitizer EX JR embroidery software being used to show an example of how easy it is to automatically digitize a image/photo, resize, change thread colours and add text to produce an embroidery design.

Once the design is finished it can be saved in Elna JEF format to be used on a Elna or Janome embroidery sewing machine.

The other option is to save the design as a work-in-progress file, may be you do not have time to finish it in one session. This .JAN format file is saved in a special way to allow editing a half finished embroidery pattern at a later date.
