Use Shirring/Gathering Foot to gather one fabric while joining it to a flat piece of fabric.

1. Set the machine for a 4-thread overlock seam. Use a high differential feed setting. For both needle thread dials and normal tension for both looper thread dials.

2. Snap on the Gathering Foot.

3. Insert the bottom fabric layer between needle plate and Gathering Foot all the way to the upper cutter, right sides together.

4. Insert the top fabric layer in the opening of Gathering Foot and flush with the bottom layer right side down.

5. Lower the presser foot and sew. Hold top layer taut while guiding lower layer with no tension. Sew the layers together as is gathers.
